Just another day of shopping online. And wondering why things go wrong almost all the time. Mind you..this is just a one day experience!
T-mobile has a great offer on their website for internet access abroad. It’s called Travel and Surf . One week internet access for €14,95. No limits, they just narrow down the speed after consuming 100Mb. That’s pretty OK. And at this moment they offer a discount of 50%. The service can be activated as soon as one starts browsing abroad. The activation screen shows no discount however, but the original price instead. Back in Holland I contacted T-Mobile’s customer service. I was told the discount wasn’t properly implemented on the activation screen, but the invoice would show the right tariff. So today I received the invoice. And I wasn’t even surprised to find out it’s also not implemented correctly on the invoice. I am charged the full tariff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vakdrogist.nl, a Dutch online drugstore. Great offer. Two boxes of razorblades for the price of only one box! I ordered the boxes yesterday to find out only one box was delivered today.
PlatteTV.nl, another Dutch online store selling TV’s, mobiles, camera’s and so on. Nice products for a good price. Since my camera was stolen during my holiday I ordered a new one. (Yes, the same holiday with the T-Mobile Travel & Surf offer). I added an extended guarantee for 3 years, as was described on their website. To find out on my order confirmation stated the guarantee was only valid for one year!
Ohra.nl, a Dutch insurance company offers the possibility for online claim processing. And as my camera has been stolen during my holiday (see above), together with my iPod and Galaxy Tab I decided to do the online travel insurance claim processing. It took a while, I had about 9 items to claim. After finalizing the claim and hitting the send button, the whole form is sent back for your own reference. But only showing the 1st claimed item! Apparently the form and processing has not yet been implemented correctly for Google Chrome. Thanks for not warning beforehand Ohra!
T-Mobile again. And yes, I needed another mobile phone (Galaxy Tab being stolen blablabla, see above). On the website I selected a new phone and a new contract, since the present contract was about to expire. Nice phone, Galaxy S Plus. Great offer, no additional costs! I went to the B&M shop of T Mobile, selected the phone and contract, to find out an additional €20 was charged for the phone! The guy in the shop couldn’t explain, because he wasn’t able to access T-mobile’s website. But he was sure website offers are valid as well online as in the shops. I am trying to get this 20 bucks back, but will fill you in later on this adventure.
